TOCA Handmade Ceramics — Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: December 2025

Welcome to TOCA Handmade Ceramics. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website and booking services. By using our website and booking a workshop or experience, you agree to comply with these terms.

TOCA Handmade Ceramics, located at Rua Passos Manuel 96B, 1150-260 Lisbon, Portugal, is responsible for managing your bookings. We reserve the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed of updates.

1. Use of Our Services

The services offered on our website, including the booking of workshops, are governed by these Terms & Conditions. By booking any service, you agree to comply with these terms and the relevant policies of TOCA Handmade Ceramics. All services are provided subject to availability.

TOCA Handmade Ceramics reserves the right to modify or cancel workshops or services due to unforeseen circumstances. If changes occur, we will notify you as soon as possible.

2. Booking Process

Bookings for workshops and experiences can be made directly through our website at www.tocahandmadeceramics.com. Services are available to individuals who meet the required age and legal capacity to participate in workshops.

Once you make a booking, you will receive a confirmation email with details including date, time, and location. Payment for the service must be completed at the time of booking to secure your spot.

  • Ceramic Painting Workshops: A 15€ booking fee is paid online. The ceramic piece chosen during the session is priced individually and must be paid in the studio on the day of the workshop.

By completing a booking, you agree to the terms of cancellation, rescheduling, and other policies described below.

3. Pricing and Payment

All workshop prices are listed in Euros and are exempt from VAT. Payment can be made through the methods available on our website.

All payments must be completed before attending the workshop. If payment is not received, the booking may be canceled. Additional costs, such as shipping or packaging fees, will be charged separately.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling: Bookings can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the session via our website.

  • Cancellations and No-Shows: Once a booking is confirmed, cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

Gift vouchers follow the same cancellation and rescheduling policies.

5. Workshop Changes and Cancellations

If TOCA Handmade Ceramics must cancel or reschedule a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., instructor illness, low enrollment), you will be notified and offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

6. Participant Responsibilities

By attending a workshop, you agree to follow all guidelines and instructions provided by TOCA Handmade Ceramics for your safety and the safety of others. Participants are expected to respect the studio environment and adhere to staff instructions.

For children’s workshops, a responsible adult must be present throughout the session. Adults may join the workshop (subject to availability) for an additional fee.

Participants are responsible for providing accurate personal information. TOCA Handmade Ceramics is not liable for any issues arising from incorrect information.

7. Natural Variations & Studio Responsibility

All workshops are guided to support successful results, but ceramics is a natural craft. Minor imperfections — including cracks, warping, or variations in glaze, color, or finish — may occur during drying or firing.

These variations are a normal part of ceramic craftsmanship, and TOCA Handmade Ceramics cannot be held responsible for them.

8. Pickup, Storage & Shipping

  • Finished pieces are typically ready within the timeframe stated in each workshop description.

  • Completed pieces will be stored at the studio for up to 3 months from the workshop date.

  • Shipping is available upon request and is charged to the buyer, plus a 3€ packaging fee.

9. Liability and Indemnity

TOCA Handmade Ceramics is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience. However, we are not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during any workshop or event. By attending, you assume all risks related to participation.

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must accompany you and provide consent.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the website — including text, images, videos, and designs — is the exclusive property of TOCA Handmade Ceramics. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

11. Data Protection

We value your privacy and take the security of your personal data seriously. By booking a workshop, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Your personal data will be used only for managing bookings, communication, and service provision. You may access, correct, or delete your data at any time.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes will be resolved first through amicable discussions. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lisbon, Portugal.

13. Changes to the Terms & Conditions

TOCA Handmade Ceramics reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Please review this page periodically for updates.
